A Shamanistic Perspective: The View from the Medicine World

In which I attempt to articulate my interpretations. Bear in mind that I am a fool and an idiot and am probably at least half crazy. Half crazy is probably the base condition for anyone split between paradigms. Despite those diverse handicaps, I hope to communicate coherently on a subject obscure and unbelievable but critical to the survival of our species. When I was within that world I had no idea of the dynamic ramifications of the events and experiences. I have had a couple of decades to reflect on it.

What is the Primal Paradigm?
A worldview that holds the universe and every object in that universe to be as sacred, sentient, and interactive as the creator of the universe. It is not a belief system, but rather a system of direct knowledge gleaned from active experience.
As such, it is a bit tricky to describe, words get pulled from the other side like droplets on a thread.

Clash of the Paradigms
I am writing with electro-technical tools in a town within the electro-technical paradigm that is the worldview of modern civilization. In order to have the material for the tools to build this fantastic civilization we had to void an ancient treaty that held the landscape itself to be sacred, conscious and interactive. That clause got torn off, and broke the chain that held the techno-krakens back. Nowadays the ancient worldview exists in a deliberately created blind spot of the modern paradigm's perceptual cone. Most people will find all this quite easily dismissed as primitive, luddite, backwards, and ignorant thinking, but that is actually the modern paradigm talking, and it does not want you to look, fearing pain and death! Poor little techno-kraken.
